Our girls just graduated Pre-K, so in celebration, we took a trip last weekend up to the new Surfside Hotel right on the beach in the Lordship area of Stratford. The Surfside Hotel is so DREAMY!! The hotel is situated right on the corner of Washington Parkway and has the most beautiful views of the ocean! You can literally step right onto the beach from the hotel! When you drive up, you also can’t help but see the colorful California beach cruisers that are for use when you stay there as a guest! The area is a great place to walk or take a bike ride!
We checked in and we were given a tour of the property (thanks Jason!), including all of the amenities the hotel has to offer. There is a beautiful gym right off of the lobby (with a Peloton bike), as well as a coffee bar (complimentary) for those early morning risers! When you are a guest, you are also welcome to a free Yoga class (right on the beach!), or you can book a holistic in-room massage!
We then ventured off to our room which was a total coastal oasis – you can definitely pretend you aren’t in Connecticut anymore! The rooms are gorgeous, and we were lucky to get a room with a direct ocean view and balcony! The Surfside Hotel has a few rooms options such as roof deck rooms, waterfront rooms, rooms with porches, or a standard room.
For dinner, we headed downstairs to the Little Pub, which has a great menu (plus kid-friendly). You can also sit outside and have the kids run around on the beach while you enjoy your dinner (a win!). There are also so many great restaurants nearby including, Riley’s (great for date night or a girl’s night out), Nikki’s Beach House, The Windsock, and Knapp’s Landing. You could also check out a local brewery, a local golf course, and live music!
If you’re looking for a quick get-away for the weekend, we can’t recommend The Surfside Hotel enough!!! With only a 20 minute drive from Fairfield, you’ll still feel like you’re on vacation! Tell them FairfieldMoms sent you!
