What’s your favorite thing about raising a family in Fairfield?

The schools are wonderful here as well as the sports and extracurricular programs for children.

Best MOM hack that makes your life easier?

I prepare  3-4  meals for the week on Sunday mornings.

Tell us about your professional background and how it brought you to where you are today:

I graduated with an Associate’s Degree from St. Vincent’s College of Nursing. Received my Bachelor’s of Science and Nursing from Sacred Heart University. I received my Master’s in science and became a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from Fairfield University. I worked in community health my entire career, most notably 20 years at Optimus Healthcare in Bridgeport, CT.

Tell us about your business and when & why you decided to start up this business?

After Covid my colleague Melissa and I noticed a lack of primary care providers and a general lack of access to primary care. We believe healthcare is a basic human right.  Our mission is to improve the health and well being of those we serve in our community by delivering culturally competent, compassionate quality primary care with a focus on prevention and wellness services.

Tell us about the different specialities you offer in each business?

We are a family practice, adult medicine, GYN services, pediatrics for patients 10 years old and up

We are a bilingual practice most of the staff speaks Spanish and English.

What should we look to see from your businesses in the future?

We will be adding a behavioural health specialist, a nutritionist, and now accepting patients 10yrs and up.

Best advice for Moms who experience the inevitable MOM GUILT handling a career and raising a family?

We all experience mom guilt, but knowing you are doing the best for your family is helpful. When my children were young I was able to work a lot less.  I make sure to be home for dinner and spend time with them and we all talk during the day. Thankfully I can bring my daughter to work in the office part time with me this summer.

What advice would you share with a new Mom or other Moms?

You are good enough and to not doubt yourself!
