Meet a Mom - Eileen Crossin - FairfieldCTMoms

Where are you originally from and how long have you been in the area?
I’m originally from Black Rock and lived there until heading off to UCONN. Since then, I’ve lived all over the U.S. and have also spent time living in the U.K. We bought a home on St. Mary’s in 2014 and moved there full-time in 2018 when our son was born. We left in 2020 but just recently returned to the East Coast and are now splitting time between NYC and the Fairfield area. It truly feels like coming home.

Tell us about your family!
It’s me, my husband Simon, and our 7-year-old son Greyson. Simon’s British, so Greyson occasionally surprises us with an accent—he says “plant,” “tomato,” and “garden” like he’s straight out of London. We’re having so much fun re-exploring the area with a “middle” kid. Greyson loves swimming at BRYC, the veggie burger at Flipside, Summer Cabaret Camp at FTC, and hunting for sea glass at the beach.

One thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m a huge jam band fan and just started learning the drums. It’s been fun to learn something completely new—it’s such a great reminder of how hard it is to learn, but how capable our brains are with practice and repetition. (It honestly helps me be more patient with Greyson as he learns new things).

One thing you wish someone would have told you about motherhood?
That it’s wildly WTF and deeply affirming, all in the same moment. I’ve learned that the greatest gift I can give my son is to let him lead. In the early years, we clung to developmental checklists (especially with potty training—whew!), but I’ve since leaned into intuition (his and mine) over instruction. Maternal instinct, especially, is real, and when you trust it, everything gets easier. More ease, less comparison—it creates a sense of peace for both of us to navigate the constant change.

What’s your favorite thing about raising a family in Fairfield? (Or Black Rock!)
The water, hands down. Whether we’re walking at St. Mary’s or spending the day at Fairfield Beach, it always grounds me. There’s also something about the neighborhoods, the friendliness, and that sense of community that instantly brings peace.

Best mom hack that makes your life easier?
Paying someone to do the laundry. Seriously. Moms are managing so much—why not outsource the things that drain your energy so you can reinvest it into something that lights you up?

Tell us about your new business & why you started it.
My company is Quantum Potential. I design healthy mind programs for people who want to live and work better—especially women. I launched it after turning 40, when I noticed a shift in so many friends and colleagues: they had checked all the boxes and were asking, “Now what?” I had done deep work through therapy, spiritual practice, and self-actualization—and I wanted to help others find clarity, too. That’s how Momentum Masterclass was born (spoiler alert: something special is coming for Fairfield Moms!). It’s all about helping people reset with intention, using their mind as their superpower for transformation, to uplevel performance and support well-being.

What is your background in?
I come from the media and tech world—leading revenue for global companies for over 20 years. I’m also a certified yoga and meditation teacher. Once I started applying mindfulness and mindset tools to my work life, everything changed. Now my work blends human performance with neuroscience, mindfulness, and business strategy to help people live better.

Tell us about the different services you offer.
Everything centers around my signature framework, The Momentum Method™—a system of mindfulness, mindset, and micro-actions to create change that sticks. I offer interactive in-person sessions, virtual workshops, digital content, and immersive masterclasses. Think of it as a way to design your life from the inside out.  Whether you’re navigating a career pivot, recovering from burnout, launching a business, or stepping away from outdated success models, this program offers the tools to move forward with clarity, confidence, and intentional momentum.

Best advice for moms struggling with the guilt of balancing work and family?
Unsubscribe from it. I don’t measure my value in hours spent—I measure it in presence and energy. I’m not perfect. I get distracted, pick up my phone, lose my patience. But I work really hard to be with my son when we’re together. Guilt thrives in unrealistic expectations. Let’s rewrite the narrative and support each other in pursuing what lights us up—without apology.

Who has influenced you most as a mom?
My mom, my sisters, and my grandmothers. My mom and sisters are still my loudest cheerleaders (my sister Kate inspired me to even become a mom). And my grandmothers—both were strong, wise matriarchs who gave me the vision to dream bigger. I carry all five of these women with me every day.

What advice would you share with new or fellow moms?
Do it your way. There’s no single roadmap for motherhood—just a lot of noise. Clear it. Tune into your own wisdom and be your own authentic version!

Also, heres a testimonial from a busy Fairfield Mom  of 4 who hired Quantum Potential to support her as she launched her new business after being a SAHM for 5 years.

“As a budding entrepreneur with many big ideas, I felt overwhelmed and stuck, unable to take action. Eileen was able to identify the subconscious blocks and limiting beliefs preventing me from gaining momentum in my business. She broke down the process into manageable micro actions and slowly I began to reach smaller goals, ultimately leading me to see the big picture and gain momentum. My business would not be where it is today without Quantum Potential.”
