Name one thing you regret when learning the ropes of parenthood and what you learned from it?

The early years, the challenges were always about balance. Balancing interests, hobbies, work, personal time, exercise etc.. There was a moment in my early to mid 30’s that I found clarity. Prioritization and focus became much more clear to me. I found that life is truly about chapters and an evolution of changing/balancing our wants and needs. I continue to adjust and assess those wants and needs on a regular basis with the understanding that there will be a time again in life to fulfill those “wants”.

Best advice for dads who experience the inevitable guilt handling a career and helping support a family?

If you have clearly prioritized your decisions then the guilt will not be present. However, there is nothing that will ever be more important than your family. You life will be about a series of sacrifices. Always choosing to putting others first especially your family will be the most rewarding decisions that you will ever make in your lifetime.

Who has most influenced you to be the father that you are today?

Two people: 1) My grandfather, Simply witnessing the pure joy that family and life guidance and self sacrifice brought to my grandfather.

2) My brother-in-law, I never knew that I wanted children as much as I did until witnessing on a peer level the love and FUN parenthood brings to us.

What advice would you share with a new dad or other dads?

The equation to parenthood and marriage is not complicated at all. It is simply about unconditional love and support for each other. If you honor those values I promise that you will have a lifetime of unbelievable depth and memories.
