We love a good date night and try to schedule them every so often with our significant others! Now that things are opening up, restaurants are very busy and it is so good to see! We came up with a list of different types of date nights to enjoy throughout the area and do something fun! Most places require registration ahead of time to book your space so do not delay! Add in dinner either by bringing to the activity or going out before or after! Book that babysitter and enjoy this list of activities!
AR Workshop
Perfect spot to make some home decor whether working on a project together or your own. Make wood projects, canvas pillows, bigger projects for the yard or even a cornhole set! Nothing is better then seeing your significant other using power tools! Register to pick your design and BYOB and dinner and make a fun night out together!
Delamar
Couple Massage and Dinner? Sign us up! Make it a night out by booking a room to stay over. The Delamar has a beautiful spa in the hotel then get dinner or drinks on the patio or inside their intimate restaurant. Coming soon on site a full service salon!
Discovery Museum
Zip-lining, Climbing trees and Axe Throwing all in one place. This is an active date night that brings you to new heights. Do the ropes course under the stars for even more fun! Check out their event calendar for fun nights out that include ice cream, s’mores, fire pits and more!
Golf Lounge
A fun night indoors with the golf simulator where you can golf all over the world all from the Sportsplex in Fairfield. Sign up to rent out a bay by the hour, bring your clubs or rent there as you have a drink while waiting for your partner to golf their turn. Can golf 9-18 holes then get dinner next store at Local!
Golfing
Whether you go to the Par 3 course on Old Dam Rd or Smith Richardson Golf Course both booked through the Park and Rec website these courses are both easy and won’t break the bank! Get dinner at Boca on the Smith Course after playing or check out a restaurant close to the course. Little advice: The Par 3 does not have carts so you will be walking your clubs around the 9 holes! They do have pull carts for $5 rental fee!
Rock Climbing
Test that upper body strength with Rock Climbing in the Sportsplex. Great way to spot each other or race to the top! They have different types of walls for all levels. Guaranteed fun and excitement while working up an appetite!
SHU Theatre
The new Community Theatre in the heart of downtown is guaranteed for a great date night. Whether it be a new or old movie, a comedy show or an event, the beautiful space will make you want to grab popcorn and a soda and have a relaxing night. Get dinner at one of the close restaurants but check the schedule before going!
Sports Center of CT
Laser tag, driving range, mini golf, bowling, batting cages, paint ball and virtual reality. You name it this place has it! Shelton also has a ton of great restaurants to make a day and night out of it!

- Visit one of the many CT Wineries or Breweries
- Get tickets to a Comedy Show
- Renting paddleboards from Megaboard SUP or SUP
- A hike around lake Mohegan
- A walk along St. Mary’s in Black Rock
