A Trip to Kidcity Children’s Museum | FairfieldMoms

What to do with your kids when camp is over, but school hasn’t started yet?!  I took the kids (2yr and 4yr) to Kidcity Children’s Museum in Middletown!  Kidcity is a children’s museum with three floors of imagination play, where kids ages 1 to 7 play pretend with their favorite grown-ups.

Their exhibits are handmade and one-of-a-kind, built by in-house artists who love inspiring playfulness in visitors of all ages.

A museum is usually a place for looking, but a children’s museum is a place for doing!  Each of their hands-on exhibits will jumpstart your child’s imagination…and yours too.

There are SO many new things to discover there, and watching the kids interact and figure out how things work, I knew that their imaginations were endless! It was also an easy 45 minute drive from Fairfield!

The museum is made up of 2 floors (Lower East and West Side) and (Upper East and West Side). The exhibits include a Space Age Roadtrip, The Farm, The Fishery, Clipper Ship, Musical Planet, the HUGE Middleshire and much more!

There is also a basement level that is age restricted for Ages 2 and younger that includes their Toddler Sea Caves.  On the first day of every month, they have a “Big Swim” where they allow older siblings (3yr and up) to join in on the fun!

Places to Eat Nearby!

Kidcity provides an entire list of places to eat nearby (click here) to make it super easy to decide which direction to head!  We checked out Ford’s Diner for a quick bite to eat (easy hot dogs and grilled cheese) and then headed over to 0Degree for some yummy rolled Thai ice cream!!

We will definitely be back soon, but so glad we checked this museum off of our bucket list!!
