Easter baskets, bunny crafts, colorful eggs filled with candy…Easter is a little over two weeks away!! So with that in mind, we’ve rounded up a full list of activities and where to go for Easter Egg Hunts for the kids, and where to see The Easter Bunny in person for some memorable photos! HURRY though – some hunts are already sold out!
Egg Hunts & Easter Events
- FairfieldMoms Easter Egg Hunt @Silverman’s Farm (Easton)
- Friday, April 7th | 10am – 1pm
- Ages 2 – 10yrs old. Must RSVP prior to event. Hunt will take place on a large field at the back of Silverman’s Farm. BYOB (bring your own BASKET) and wear BOOTS (it gets muddy).
- We will have Food Trucks, face painting, local vendors and much more! Cost is $20 per family. We will be hosting 4 egg hunts – please RSVP (per family) for ONE time slot only.

- Easter Egg Hunt in the Trees @The Adventure Park and The Discovery Museum
- April 7th – 9th
- This isn’t your typical Easter Egg Hunt. Join us for our Easter Egg Hunt in the Trees!The Easter bunny will be hard at work hiding “eggs” in the trees. Spot the eggs while you climb and get a treat at the end of your climb.The Easter Egg Hunt in the Trees is free, but you’ll need to purchase a ticket for climbing, as the “eggs” will be hidden up high!
- Forest Egg Hunt Adventure @Stamford Museum & Nature Center

Join us for the return of our popular Forest Egg Hunt Adventure on our Wheels in the Woods trail. A maximum of 26 kids per session ensures a fun, safe event for all! Participants can check in anytime within the first half hour of their registered session. We’ll start with the hunt on our trails where kids can gather eggs in the woods, then return back to the Wheels in the Woods picnic area, where we’ll get to meet some live animals! Kids will turn in their found eggs and get to take home a craft and choose prize from our awesome choices of stuffed animals, science kits, craft activities, and more! Program will run rain or shine (rain plan will be e-mailed to participants if needed).
- Glow in the Dark Painting & Egg Hunt Challenge @Stamford Museum & Nature Center
- April 7th at 7:45pm
- Join us for an evening egg hunt in our woods! We’ll start with some glow-in-the-dark painting on canvas, and then hunt on our trails after hours for glow-in-the-dark eggs. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Tickets include one free adult per child. Limited enrollment of 16 participant pairs. Pre-registration only. Meets at Overbrook Nature Center.
- The Great Egg Hunt @New Canaan Nature Center
- Friday April 7th – 8th (11am – 5pm)
- Perfect for children, ages 2-10, our egg hunts are designed for smaller groups (approximately 25 per hunt). In addition to the hunt, enjoy an animal meet & greet and self-guided spring scavenger hunt. Just BYOB (bring your own basket) for collecting eggs (which contain nature-themed prizes and nut-free sweets).

- Egg Hunt @Connecticut Audubon Society
- Saturday, April 8th
- This favorite spring tradition returns! In addition to the fun search for eggs, there will be family activities, visits with a special bunny, crafts and snacks. Don’t forget to bring your camera and a basket! Members $10/child, $10/adult. Non-members $12/child, $12/adult. Pre-registration is required. This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine (in case of rain, the event will be moved indoors). Once registered, participants will need to complete a waiver. This program will be held at the Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield.

- Easter Egg Roll @Pequot Library (Southport)
- Saturday, April 8th – 10am – 11:30am
- Join us for some traditional holiday fun at the annual Easter Egg Roll on Pequot Library’s Great Lawn. Dance the bunny hop, make crafts, play games, and meet the Easter Bunny himself! Bring your own hard-boiled eggs for coloring and decorating, and then choose your favorite egg to enter in the age-category races! Please bring a long-handled wooden spoon for the roll. Free and open to the public. For all ages.
- Eggstravaganza! An Easter Egg Hunt for Littles @Wakeman Town Farm
- Saturday, April 8th – 10:30am – 11:30am
- We are EGGspecially Eggcited for the return of EGGstravganza, a favorite spring Farm tradition designed for your little bunnies and chicks!
- Easter Hop @Perry House 1128 West Broad Street (Stratford)
- Saturday, April 8th – 12pm – 2pm
- Join us for our annual Easter Hop! Saturday, April 8th, from 12 – 2 p.m. Children will walk the grounds and participate in six different activities. Each child will receive 12 Easter eggs filled with treats, a take home craft and an opportunity to have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Please provide your own bag or basket to collect eggs. Event is for children 12 or under. Registration is required
- Easter Bunny Hop @Lordship Seawall (Stratford)
- Saturday, April 8th – 11am – 1pm
- 4th Annual Easter Bunny Wave, 4/8/23, 11am to 1 pm, Lordship Seawall.
Let’s make some noise and show our Stratford Strong again. Bring your smiles, leave a non perishable food donation, hygiene supplies for women or men or kids items if you can. Any and all items are gratefully appreciated.
**Some local Churches also have Easter Egg Hunts after Church Service on Sunday, April 9th. Reach out to your Church for more information if available.
Meet The Easter Bunny
- Bunny Breakfast & Lunch Trail @Essex Steam Train
- April 7th – 8th
- Hop aboard the Essex Steam Train Saturday April 1 & Sunday April 2 and Friday April 7 & Saturday April 8 of Easter Weekend for Bunny Breakfast and Bunny Brunches aboard our vintage Pullman dining cars, pulled by our antique diesel locomotive. Families will delight in a spring train ride through the beautiful Connecticut River Valley as they enjoy a family style platter of breakfast or brunch items suitable for all ages. An abundant family style platter for the whole table will include coffee cakes, scones and pastries, fresh fruits, hard boiled eggs and breakfast sandwiches. The Easter Bunny will say hello as he passes through the train cars along the route. Photo opportunities will be available on the platform after the train ride.

- Easter Bunny Express @Railroad Museum of New England

- 10am and 12pm rides
- There is no better way to celebrate the coming of spring than on the Naugatuck Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express! Climb aboard for a 1 hour and 20 minute train ride through the beautiful Litchfield Hills as they reawaken after a cold, long winter’s nap. Passengers on these trains enjoy a scavenger hunt for the kids as well as a stop at the Bunny Patch where children will have the chance to help rescue the Easter Bunny’s duck friends! All children will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself, as well as receive a chocolate filled egg from his very own collection.

- Sunday, April 9th
- Head to Pinstripes with the family for your Easter Sunday celebration. Our Sunday Brunch Buffet includes a Signature Waffle Station, Carving Station, Sweets Table and more. Don’t forget about our Bottomless Mimosas and Aperol Spritzes! The Easter Bunny will also be making a special appearance to hand out special treats and take pictures with the kids.
