Is your child facing unexpected learning challenges? Have they tried tutoring with limited results? Do you know your child has enormous potential, but their grades are not reflective of that?  It is time to look for a new solution. While traditional tutoring focuses on reteaching academic content, PACE focuses on identifying the root of the problem. PACE concentrates on developing the foundational and fundamental skills needed for learning, known as cognitive and processing skills. These skills are most often the source of learning challenges. The brain, and these skills, can change throughout a person’s life

Through our Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE) program we teach strategies that enhance the use of Cognitive Skills in a fun and engaging manner. We work on core skills like memory, attention, processing speed, visualization, logic and reasoning. These skills are the foundation of learning in any subject. When one of these skills are weak they affect academic performance. We offer assessment to determine the strength of each of these skills and develop an individualized program to fit the needs of each of our students. We also offer a program that helps those who struggle with reading and spelling called Master the Code (MTC). This program develops skills that make reading and spelling easier. MTC is unique because it is the only reading program that teaches children reading the same way language is learned. Through our programs we aim to make learning easier, thinking faster and performance better for our students. Brain Gain is the sole provider of PACE and MTC in Connecticut.
