Party for the Planet at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo

Join us at the Zoo on Saturday, April 20 for our Party for the Planet! Registered volunteers will participate in cleaning up Beardsley Park. At the Zoo, we will feature fun, green-themed activities such as an Art Sculpture Show. As part of our collaborative efforts with the AZA SAFE program, the students of One River School of Art & Design will create sculptures of endangered animals using recycled materials that will be displayed at the Zoo. We will also feature a DIY seed ball table where visitors can create seed balls using specific soil, seeds, and clay mixtures. These seed balls can be taken home and planted in pollinator gardens to help support local ecosystems and extend our efforts to people’s daily lives.
